Job Description

Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group is looking for a growth centric Ecommerce and Digital Marketing Lead Strategist with a strong bias towards building trusted online brands by leveraging compelling experiences and reputation management. The ideal candidate must be ambitious, love to connect with people, be creative with revenue streams and thrive in a constantly evolving omnichannel environment. She or he must be comfortable in navigating ambiguity and exploring growth opportunities specific to ESAG companies and businesses.

• Develop and maintain omnichannel journey maps to optimise brand communications, customer experiences, marketing budgets and overall lead conversion.
• Optimise the day to day operations of the Group’s ecommerce platforms and online marketplaces.
• Leverage marketing automation; ideate revenue earning techniques, cart conversion tactics, cross/up-selling tricks; and conceptualise compelling campaigns.
• Partner with marketing managers and business strategists in developing tactical and data backed roadmap that ladders up to the overall advancement and growth of the Group’s businesses.
• Manage multiple, highly visible marketing campaigns from strategy to execution to measurement and reporting, using CRM and relevant digital platforms while maintaining focus on timeline and budgets.
• Device an efficient formula for growth and acquisition, customer retention, attribution and tracking, heat mapping, data interpretation, online reputation management, research, competitor intel and campaign optimisation.
• To a certain extent, execute the approved strategy using SEO, digital and social media ads, remarketing ads, content platforms, affiliate and influencer programmes, email and messaging platforms, etc.
• Conduct well informed consultative meetings with senior executives on a regular basis, providing insights and recommendations, including but not limited to return on ads, growth milestones, campaign performance, growth opportunities, competitor landscape, sales and growth forecasts, etc.
• Ensure that each online store exceeds user expectations for ease of use, variety of options and overall satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with government and international regulations in addition to ethical practices and company guidelines.
• Contribute in the development and execution of all content and campaign calendars.
• Supervise and coach team members; provide performance reviews feedback.
• Stay up to date on digital trends, marketing technology and industry best practices. Keeping on top of Google and Bing algorithms, emerging platforms and digital solutions.
• Partner with finance department to ensure all invoices are properly accounted for on a regular basis.
• Partner closely with the creative and development teams to ideate and develop solutions to support expansion and user experience goals.

Desired Candidate Profile


• Degree or equivalent in marketing, ecommerce, data analysis or business.
• At least 5 years’ experience in ecommerce or digital role in the UAE or GCC.
• At least 2 years working experience from a major ecommerce website or digital agency in the UAE or GCC.
• At least 2 years of experience working with a major ecommerce website or digital agency in the UAE or GCC.
• Experience in using CRM platform and marketing automation.
• Highly analytical and with demonstrated track record in growth marketing, ecommerce and big digital transformations.
• Good command of the English language and has the ability to clearly convey technical matters in simple terms.
• Adept problem solver with an in depth understanding of the changing consumer behavior in the UAE.
• Career-focused, results oriented and self-motivated.
• Thrives under pressure and can be counted on to deliver consistent results.
• Great with deadlines and detail.
• Quickly and effectively gain thorough understanding of a client’s industry and target audience.
• Good team player with ability to work cohesively with diverse industry experts.
• Remarkable presentation skills with solid Excel and chart development skills.
• Experience in working directly with digital ad networks, developers, designers, data analysts and customer service specialists.
• Experience with different A/B testing concepts and techniques.
• Content management experience using ecommerce platforms like Magento.
• Experience with listening/reporting tools like Google Ecommerce Analytics, GDS, Google analytics alternatives, CrazyEgg etc.
• Understanding of HTML, schema, content structure best practices, consumer electronics and internet of things.
• Knowledge of professional digital marketing tools such HubSpot, Semrush, KWfinder, etc.


• At least 2 years’ experience in managing an omnichannel ecommerce business model preferably of reputed brands in retail and lifestyle segment.
• Passionate about process quality, accuracy and data interpretation.
• Master’s degree in marketing, ecommerce, data analysis or business.
• Industry certifications in digital marketing.
• Experience with project management tools like Asana or Jira.
• Arabic language is a plus.
