Job Description

Group Business Process Manager

The Business Process Manager evaluates, designs, executes, measures, monitors, and controls business processes. The role holder ensures that business process outcomes harmonize with an organization's strategic goals.

The Business Process Manager is responsible for facilitating the execution of the Group's strategic priorities as an independent transformation enabler, managing strategic cross-functional programs and process reengineering projects.

Process Management & Improvement

  • Manage comprehensive end-to-end strategic process improvement initiatives to deliver process simplification, re-engineering, digitization, and automation using methods like Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Value Stream Analysis, etc., that drive customer experience, innovation, growth, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • The role holder is also responsible for identifying short-term improvement and long-term value creation opportunities, generating a positive impact and change at all levels of the organization, in close collaboration with the leadership teams at corporate & Group Entity Management to drive and achieve strategic priorities.
  • Translate the strategic plan into an actionable and quantitative execution agenda to design and define the transformation strategy in alignment with Group's overall business strategy
  • Manage transformational programs and projects; identity and structuring problems; analyze root causes; develop and recommend solutions; mitigate identified risks while managing a complex stakeholder landscape in collaboration with corporate and functional points of contact teams as per the agenda initiative
  • Understand operating model & commercial objectives and map the business architecture, analyze existing "as-is" processes leveraging different techniques and methods, including documenting the current processes.
  • Gather requirements and use cases from SMEs using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
  • Lead analysis of business performance results, customer feedback, audit reports, and other business data to identify significant business improvement opportunities and mobilize transformational business process improvement projects.
  • Lead the design and realization phases of business process-related projects by designing business processes against standards (benchmarks), managing change and organizational impact, and delivering significant, measurable, and sustainable business improvement results.
  • Lead performance analysis and business review sessions to identify gaps and priorities of major business improvement opportunities.
  • Validate process improvement post-implementation to review new procedure compliance and identify further opportunities for process optimization.
  • Develop a relevant program/project-specific metrics, scorecards, risks, and issues analyses to report on progress and impact continuously to the leadership teams

Process Digitization

  • Support the digital transformation program by identifying and prioritizing automation and digitization use cases within existing and identified processes.
  • Proactively communicate with Digital and Group IT Applications teams to define and implement system solutions.
  • Support agile delivery squads with the user story, acceptance criteria, and definition of done documentation based on identified process improvement opportunities.

Process Governance

  • Document policies and procedures as per division standards.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within existing processes.
  • Conduct process audits to identify non-conformities.
  • Provide process insights and reporting to process owners for effective decision making
  • Identify and contribute to the development of best practices across the organization, capturing learnings from within as well as externally by staying abreast of the industry and the competition, and prepare monthly/quarterly updates to the community
  • Responsible for the preparation of business presentations and reports related to Strategy & Transformation efforts for various stakeholders, on a periodic and ad hoc basis as and when required.
  • Develop standards and best practices of program and project management to achieve consistency of delivery and solving for challenges faced throughout design and execution
  • Promote a team culture of high performance, innovation, collaboration, agility and continuous improvement, as well instilling ownership, and accountability.
  • Manage cross-functional initiatives and ensure on-time delivery with a high level of accuracy
  • Ensure regular information exchange with all relevant stakeholders and update them on the development progress across projects
  • Build relationships and maintain strong partnerships with key personnel to help achieve organizational goals
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations
